通訊過程具體就是從PLC設備串行接口通過不同的協(xié)議設備讀取過程數據到FTA各個“虛”Slot中，然后通過SI IOP將數據寫入APM的Image DataBase中，APM在一定的周期中將這些數據讀取到組態(tài)所對應的SI Array Point中（對應的規(guī)則為分配的地址）。下圖為通訊流程：PLC中需要參與通訊的過程數據被組態(tài)在通訊寄存器中，位號與地址相對應，格式包含（組態(tài)地址＋過程數值＋校驗位）的串行通訊數據塊通過串行通訊線到達FTA后，在格式數據塊中分離出來地址和過程數據，參考DCS的APM中組態(tài)的Slot對應的Array Point地址，并將數據傳入正確的Array Point。在Modbus FTA 中數據以19.2Kbaud的速度被掃描，而在Allen-Bradley FTA 中每一個Array Point 都可以選擇不同的掃描方式： A、free runing(用戶定義時間掃描)； 　　B、periodic（固定周期掃描）； C、Report-by-except（事件觸發(fā)掃描RBE）； 來組態(tài)，而在APM中，從Image DataBase中掃描數據則有以下三種速度（1/4秒、1/2秒、1秒）。膨脹機PLC與DCS的通訊實例：5．１該應用就是用SI 與DCS通訊的，將膨脹機的過程數據傳給DCS，在進行量程和工程單位的轉換。 ５．２參數設置：膨脹機與DCS采用RS-485方式通訊，協(xié)議是標準的ModbusRTU,PLC設置地址是?。?，波特率9600，選擇偶校驗。 ５．３模塊選擇：  SI IOP Mode: MU-PSIM11 Power Adapter Mode: MU-TLAP02 FTA Mode: MU-TSIM12 ５．４通訊數據說明及地址分配：所用到的數據類型為模擬量和數據量，模擬量所占用Modbus 地址為40001~40035，都是膨脹機的壓力、溫度、油位、振動位移等。數字量數據占用40051和40052兩地址的若干位，都是膨脹機的運行狀態(tài)、壓力開關和溫度tirp狀態(tài)及報警信號。
